What CheckMySys provides

CheckMySys is a free collection of network and system utilities. Some tools run entirely in your browser (client-side tools), while others require a server to function (API-backed tools). The service is provided at no cost and is supported by advertising.

Acceptable use

You may use CheckMySys for any lawful purpose. You agree not to:

• Send automated or scripted requests to the API at a volume that degrades service for other users. Reasonable personal automation is fine; sustained high-volume scraping is not.
• Use the DNS lookup tool to enumerate or probe infrastructure you do not own or have authorization to test.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or overload the service, its servers, or the networks connected to it.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the API backend (the frontend source code is publicly available on GitHub).
• Use the service for any activity that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law.

We reserve the right to block or rate-limit any user or IP address that we determine is abusing the service.

No warranty on tool results

CheckMySys is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Specifically:

• IP geolocation — is based on third-party databases and may be inaccurate. City-level geolocation is frequently wrong. Country-level accuracy is typically high but not guaranteed.
• DNS lookup results — reflect the records returned by the authoritative nameservers at the time of the query. DNS propagation delays, caching, and split-horizon configurations can cause results to differ from what other resolvers return.
• Speed test results — measure throughput between your device and our test server. Your actual internet speed may differ based on server location, network congestion, time of day, your ISP's routing, and other factors. Results should not be used as evidence in disputes with your ISP.
• Password strength estimates — are based on entropy calculations and common-password checks. They provide a general indication of password quality but cannot account for targeted attacks, social engineering, or specific breach databases. A "strong" rating does not guarantee security.
• HTTP headers — shown by the headers viewer reflect what our server received from your request. Intermediate proxies, CDNs, or corporate firewalls may add, modify, or strip headers before they reach us.
• Browser info and fingerprinting — data is read directly from your browser's APIs. Browsers may spoof or limit access to certain properties for privacy reasons, and results may differ across browser versions and configurations.

Do not rely on CheckMySys results for security-critical decisions, legal proceedings, or any situation where inaccurate data could cause harm. These tools are informational utilities, not certified measurement instruments.

Service availability

We make a reasonable effort to keep the service running but do not guarantee uptime. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, or circumstances beyond our control. Client-side tools will continue to function offline once the page has loaded; API-backed tools require an active connection to our backend server.

Intellectual property

The CheckMySys frontend source code is publicly available under the terms of its GitHub repository. The CheckMySys name, logo, and branding are the property of their respective owners and may not be used to imply endorsement or affiliation without permission.

Blog content and other written materials on this site are original works and may not be reproduced without attribution.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CheckMySys and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the service (which is zero — the service is free).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CheckMySys and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or your violation of these terms.

Third-party links

The service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those external resources.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction.
